In a male dominated society, a female's value is usually reflected by the male(s) she clings to. Nowadays, TV series often depicts the external conflicts between people, and holds that the prerequisite for women's emancipation is the physical independence. However, in a modern society characterized by the clash and fusing of two different cultures, women, on the basis of physical independence, must strive for the emancipation of mind. And some TV series approaches this topic from the clash taking place in people's ideological world and that between people and the society.
