| Abstract: | This paper demonstrates the physical and psychological basis of synaesthetic metaphor and analyzes the similarities and differences between synaesthesia and metaphor in system.Synaesthetic metaphor is not only a figure of speech,but also a way of cognition and thought.Then according to the usage of synaesthesia in poem,this paper discusses the function of synaesthetic metaphor in language. |
