ESP视角下我国专业英语课程缘起和发展的再思考

专业英语是我国内地高校所特有的一种社会历史现象，大致经历了近四十年的发展，但目前却不得不面对诸多的误会和非议。基于我国大陆范围内的各种相关研究文献，结合笔者多年从事的专业英语课程教学实践与研究，考证了专业英语课程的源起，尝试将其发展阶段依照时间顺序划分为三个阶段，着重从ESP视角探讨其发展历史与现状，认定专业英语课程确有其长期存在和发展的必要，理应归属于ESP课程的范畴，亟待各种切实有效的革新和突破。

Reconsideration on the Origin and Development of Specialty English Courses in Chinese Universities from ESP Perspective

Specialty English,a kind of social and historical phenomenon peculiar to colleges and universities in mainland China,is of nearly 40-year development history,but now it faces a lot of misunderstanding and criticisms.Based on the relevant literature in the China,combined with the author''s teaching practice and exploration for many years,this paper examines the origin of Specialty Englishcourses,divides its development into three stages,and mainly deal with the history and current situationfrom the perspective of ESP.The author believes that Specialty Englishexists and develops for a long time and falls into the category of ESP courses,but it urgently needs a variety of effective rapid innovation and breakthrough.
