中美木质家具贸易的互补性和竞争性分析

中国木质家具贸易发展迅速,2005年已成为世界最大木质家具出口国.中国为美国首要木质家具进口国,美国为中国木质家具主要出口对象.利用贸易结合度指数、显示性比较优势指数和贸易互补性指数对中美木质家具贸易的互补性进行分析,通过产品相似性指数和显示性竞争性指数对中美木质家具贸易的竞争性进行分析.结果表明：中美两国木质家具贸易存在较大的互补性和较为激烈的竞争性,且中国较美国有竞争优势,中国应向美国出口木质家具.并提出相应建议,以期为中美两国克服竞争影响、争取双赢提供实证支撑,为中国木质家具产业结构升级和木质家具进出口企业的创新发展提供参考.

A Study on Competitiveness and Complementarity of Wooden Furniture Trade between China and the United States

With the trade of wooden furniture developing significantly in China, China has been the biggest exporter of wooden furniture in the world since 2005. The study shows that China is the prime importer of wooden furniture produced in the United States, while the United States is the main destination of exports of China. This paper measures the complementarity of wooden furniture trade between China and the United States by using the trade combination degree index （TCD） , revealed comparative advantage index （RCA） and trade complementary index. Then it measures the competitiveness of wooden furniture trade between China and the United States using the revealed competitive advantage index （CA） and product similarity index. The result of the research indicates that complementarity and competitiveness do exist in China and the United States＇ wooden furniture trade. However, China has more competitive advantages than the United States. China would better export wooden furniture to the United States. Then we offer some proposals on the basis of the conclusions summarized above, so as to overcome the effects of competition between China and the United States, provide substantial supports for the win-win situation, and provide references for the upgrade of industrial structure of Chinese wooden furniture and the innovation and development of Chinese wooden furniture import and export companies.
