僧肇的无分别观念

摘    要:无分别观念是佛教般若思想的一个重要方面。它认为用世俗的言语概念是不能分别事物的本质或实相的,事物不过是假名,人们对事物的认识不过是虚妄幻想。僧肇的无分别观念得自鸠摩罗什传来的龙树中观学,同时中国传统哲学中对语言和本体存在关系的论述也必然对他接受无分别观念起到铺垫作用。《肇论》中的无分别观念是很突出的。但是,僧肇的无分别观念由于强调"无分别"而使之与"分别"处于对峙的状态,其境界不如后期禅宗。

Seng-chao's Indifferent Idea

Abstract:Indifferent idea is a vital aspect of Buddhism's prajna thought. It asserts that, worldly words and concepts can't discriminate the essence of things. Things are only pseudonym, and the knowledge of things are only illusion. Seng-chao's indifferent idea was originated from Nagarjuna(Long-shu)' s Madhyamika Sect which was transmitted by Kumarajiva(Jiu mo luo shi) , simultaneously the discussion about the relationship between words and noumenon in traditional philosophy of China was contributed to Seng-chao's acceptance of this idea. The indifferent idea in Chao-lun was obvious. However, Seng-chao's indifferent idea was contrary to "discrimination" because he emphasized "indiscriminaton", so his lofty realm was less than post-Zen.
