| 摘 要： | 1937年1月,四川省政府举行首届县长考试。此次县长考试是川省政府依国民政府中央法令推进的人事调整,希望表达对中央的拥护,而国民政府也希望借此强化对川省的控制。但此次县长考试应试者众,及格者少,且迟迟得不到任用,与刘湘委任大批县政人员训练所毕业者为县长形成鲜明对比,事实上加剧了外界对刘湘时期县政人事的质疑。可以说此次县长考试渗透着川省与中央两种势力的相持博弈,是刘湘时代川省人事步入中央轨道的一次重要事件。
