| Abstract: | The article expounds Zhang Taiyan's anti Manchu views and the development of his thoughts from these views to those of anti imperialism and anti colonialism during the Revolution of 1911. It reveals that Zhang Taiyan was unquestionably an advocate of bourgeois democratic revolution instead of a representative of the anti Manchu group among the landlord class as labeled by the historian circle. |
