| Abstract: | This paper discusses on the imagery in the poems by Ai Qing. It holds that he expresses the spirit of the Chinese nation to fight against sufferings and to pursue a bright future through the imagery of "land" and "sun" in his poems and pushes free verses to a new height by applying modernistic art into his poems. As a consequence, his efforts stimulate the formation of "July Poem" School. |
