| Abstract: | This paper discusses on the imagery in the poems by Ai Qing. It holds that he expresses the spirit of the Chinese nation to fight against sufferings and to pursue a bright future through the imagery of land and sun in his poems and pushes free verses to a new height by applying modernistic art into his poems. As a consequence, his efforts stimulate the formation of July Poem School. |
