非洲国家的多元语言使用问题

非洲语言数量繁多,使用程度不一,地位、功能不同。非洲各国由于受殖民时期语言政策的影响,通常将英语等原殖民国家语言定为官方语言,使本土语言受到不同程度的贬抑。多语使用引发的教育、经济、政治乃至传统文化的传承问题,已经成为非洲国家发展的障碍。目前,整合非洲语言并推行更灵活、更民主化的语言政策,将非洲语言作为教学工具和授课内容纳入非洲教育体系,以及利用现代信息技术实现非洲语言在发展中的核心地位等措施,体现了非洲国家在应对语言问题方面的积极努力。

The Use of Multiple Languages in African Countries

There are many languages in African countries and the extent of their use defines their status and functions.Due to the language policies in colonization period,African countries tend to designate English and other national languages of colonist countries as the official language.As the result,the use of African languages is inevitably more or less suppressed.The multiple languages use leads to a series of problems on education,economy,politics and cultural inheritance,which greatly impede the development of African countries.However,great efforts have been taken to battle against it,for example,the integration of African languages,the implementation of flexible and democratic language policies,the incorporation of African languages as instrument and content into the education system,the establishment of African languages’central role in the development via modern information technology.
