街:城市社会的舞台——以唐长安城为中心

唐长安外郭城主干街道具有流动性、延伸性、开放性、公共性、公众性等特点,以及宣示、警示、炫示、舆论与信息传播多项政治与社会功能,是当时城市生活的重要舞台。在坊市制向街市制演变的历史过程中,街以其独具的特性,在城市社会变迁中发挥了不容忽视的作用。

Street: the stage for a city society——with special reference to the Tang dynasty Chang''''an

This article identifies the divisions and regional spatial distribution in the city of Chang’an in the Tang dynasty and it mainly demonstrates the political and social functions-declaration, caution, display, consensus and information spreading and so on—of the trunk roads in Chang’an’s outer city. Moreover, this article holds that political and social functions of streets stood out in the capital with a strict system of block and mart, since the trunk roads were of mobility, extensity, openness, commonality and publicity. During the historical course of evolution from a block mart system to a street market system, the streets’ characteristic plays an unnegligible role in the evolution of a city society.
