凌濛初的尚奇观与"二拍"之奇

从“二拍”的书名、序言、小引以及小说中的议论可以看出,尚奇是凌初小说理论的核心内容,凌初主张小说写耳目之内、日用起居中的新奇之事,反对写耳目之外的荒诞不经之事,凌濛初的尚奇观在小说批评史上极富理论价值和创新意义。凌濛初认为“二拍”是一部奇书,“二拍”的新奇主要表现在三个方面,首先是题材的新奇,其次是情节的新奇,再次是观念的新奇。
