试论二世土观阿旺曲吉嘉措的历史贡献

青海佑宁寺著名僧人二世土观阿旺曲吉嘉措是藏传佛教历史上非常重要的人物，是清代八大驻京呼图克图之一。他一生的功绩主要表现在两个方面：一是对佑宁寺发展的贡献，他担任该寺法台期间，大兴讲修之风，是佑宁寺历史上最为兴旺的时期之一，后来罗布藏丹津事件中佑宁寺等寺院毁于战火，也是在阿旺曲吉嘉措的努力周旋下才得以重建，保住了安多地区格鲁派的法脉传承；二是阿旺曲吉嘉措驻京供职期间，以政府代表身份护送达赖喇嘛入藏，积极协助达赖坐床事宜，返回京城后受封为“禅师”，向政府进言有关藏区事务的建议，成为中央与地方交流的桥梁，为清政府加强对青海、西藏等地区的管理作出了突出贡献。

On Historic Contribution of Ngag dbanga chos kyi rgra mtsho

As a key figure in Tibetan Buddhism from Youning Temple in Qinghai, Ngag dbanga chos kyi rgra mtsho was one of the eight hotogtus inhabited in Beijing. His contribution lies in two parts. First, he contributed to the development of Youning Temple. While hosting the temple, he actively advocated Buddhism seminar. This was the best time of this temple. After the temple was destroyed by the war triggered by Lobsang Danjin rebellion, he urged to rebuild the temple, and guaranteed the inheritance of Gelug branch in Amdo area. Second, during in staying in Beijing, as the official representative, he escorted Dalai Lama back to Tibetan regions, actively arranged Dalai＇s enthronement ritual. Back to Beijing, he was appointed as Zen master. He offered his advice concerning Tibetan issues, was a communication bridge between the central government and the local. He had contributed greatly to Qing Dynasty＇s enforcing administration of Qinghai and Xizang.
