Influences of Cultural Differences on International Business Communications and Strategies

In the context of globalization, cultural differences have a great impact on all aspects of international business communication. To help the business professionals increase the cultural awareness in international communication, realize the importance of cultural differences and achieve win-win in business communication, cultural differences, which are usually seen in international business communication activities in the aspects of addressing and greetings, compliments and modesty; ceremonial meeting, presenting and apologizing, are explained; the influences of cultural differences on international business communication are analyzed in the aspects of thinking, communication, values, customs and punctuality; and four strategies are proposed： confronting cultural differences, strengthening intercultural awareness, respecting target countries＇ customs and eliminating barriers to international business communications.
