新创企业:大企业的“小版本”?

摘    要:许多人把新创企业当成“大企业的小版本”,认为大企业具备初创企业的一切重要特征,和新创企业有关的问题是实践的灵活性和适应性的问题,而不是理论的问题。本文认为,在新创企业如此重要的今天,沿用针对经营相对成熟稳定的大企业理论,来解决新创企业的经营问题和制定政府相应的创业支持政策,会造成严重的后果。本文从构成企业动态的四个维度——知识和技能、辅助性资产、企业内部过程以及企业的文化价值观——分别对比分析新创企业和已有企业的基本差异性,以有助于人们对新创企业形成更准确的认识。

Abstract:People usually treat new ventures as small versions ofestablished large firms. They assert that established firms have allimportant characteristics of new ventures and the problems with creatingand growing new ventures are more about the practical flexibility andadaptability than about theoretical understanding. This article argues that,in a time when new ventures are so critical for the prosperity and valuecreation of an economy, adopting theories from researches on establishedfirms into fields of new ventures may cause serious problems.Fundamental differences between new ventures and established firms inthe four dimensions of dynamic capabilities, namely, knowledge andskills, complementary assets, organizational routines and values, arecarefully articulated to help people achieve more accurate understandingabout new ventures.
