手段与目的的关系论是研究生命活动性质的根本方法论。按该方法论可区分出生命活动的三 种基本类型--劳动、消费和游戏。游戏是手段与目的内在统一的即自足的活动。生命体的 游戏，是生命主体以自身活动为内在手段直接达到内在目的的活动，即自足的生存适应活动。

On the Self|contenting Essence of Play

The theory of the relationship between means and purposes is the principal methodology to make a study of the nature of vital games. In terms of this methodology,we can divide vital games into three primary types:labour, consumption and play. Play is a self|contenting activity with the means and purposes being combined as an inherent unity. Games played by the biological beings are the activities based on inherent means to meet the intrinsic desire directly, that is to say, we may call them self|contenting existing activities for adaptability.
