| Abstract: | Metaphors are studied on the cognitive semantics.Perspective and conceptual metaphors are intro-duced in thispaper.Since human beingshave the same cognitivesystems and similar living experiences,meta-phors in different cultures have similar cognitive bases.Consequently,this paper compares the three subdivi-sions of cognitive metaphors in Chinese and English respectively. |
