| Abstract: | The Washington Institute for Near East Policy was founded in 1985. It is the specialized agency that engaged in studying U.S. Middle East policy. More than twenty years since it was founded, the Institute has provided suggestion and tactics on maintaining the U.S. interests in the Middle East. Accordingly, it has exerted an important influence on U.S. Middle East policy. Understanding the establishment and development of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy is valuable to research the decision-making, implementation, and development trend of the U.S. Middle East policy. |
