| 摘 要： | 五四前后的冯友兰先生对当时国内流行的以东西文化差异“种类”说来解释东西文化差异的主张，经历了一个由怀疑到思考的过程。在对东西文化差异根源的解释上，他否定了以“地域”差异说来解释东西文化差异的主张，提出了不同民族的基本思想造成各民族文化差异的“种类”说。

| Abstract: | Durring the period of the May 4th movement in 19l9, it was a popular proposition to explain thedifference between Chinese and western cultures with the theory of kind. With respect to Mr. Feng Youlan, hecame through a conversion from suspecting to reflecting it. On interpreting the origin of the difference detweenChinese and western cultures, he advanced that not the theory of regions but the different nation's basic ideologybrought forth the difference between Chinese and western culture. |
