摘    要:
高校开展专业课程双语教学是教学质量工程的一个重要方面。采取合适的教学模式和教学方法,循序渐进开展专业课程双语教学是切实提高普通高校双语教学效果的重要途径。根据英、汉两种语言在教学活动中采用的大体比例将专业课程的双语教学分为5种循序渐进的模式,每种模式的目标、实现条件、讲授方式和操作程序及教学效果评价各不相同。在教学实践中可根据各专业的特点和具体条件,选择相应的模式和讲授方法,并采用可发挥学生积极主动性、强调师生互动性的教学法及多种教学手段来提高教学效果,以达到在专业课程双语教学中既使学生系统掌握专业知识和技能又能提高其专业英语水平的双重目标。

Abstract:
Bilingual education of professional courses in colleges and universities has been thought as an important way to promote the quality of education and it should be carried out gradually by applying specific modes and methods. According to the general proportion of foreign language (usually English) to native language (Chinese) bilingual education could be classified into 5 categories which demonstrate a gradual variation in terms of objectives, teaching models, programs, evaluation and difficulties of implementation. Different teaching methods, especially those which can well motivate students and emphasize the interaction between teachers and students are encouraged to be applied in bilingual teaching practices. With the well chosen modes and proper methods, the bi objectives of bilingual education of a professional course, i.e. the acquirement of specialized knowledge and skills and the improvement of specialized English, could be obtained.
