武士道犹如一把锋利的双刃剑。它充满了追求幸福安宁、强烈的使命感、责任感、刻苦、勤劳等美德,更集中了嗜杀成性、穷兵黜武、血腥残暴等凶虐;既是日本现代化的底蕴和原动,更是日本法西斯军国主义的沃土和源泉;既表现出日本民族的活力,更反映出日本民族的痼疾。更为世人注意的是,这两种对立的文化传统,无论过去还是现在,在日本历史舞台上都得到了淋漓尽致的表演和发挥。

Inquiry into Bushido

Bushido is like a double-edged sword.
