Space is abstract. Only when it is concretely represented can abstract be specified. In the folklore of the Naxi people and others, color is a means of the representation of space. The space represented by way of color not only determines the nature of folk activities but also regulates the form and content of folk activities. The article introduces and analyzes the representation of space by way of color in the folklore of the Naxi people from the aspects of pre-space, initial space and so forth.
