| Abstract: | Zhang Ji's novels can be classified into three categories,the novels about the head of Si Ping village, novels about the officialdom at the grass roots level in the countryside and novels about local cconditons and customs. These novels interprete the historical change from traditional agricultural civilization to modern industrial civilization, thus stressing the significance of the change and the eternity. |
