新时期以来,湖北文学成绩斐然,有目共睹,但并非无可指摘.本文着重从文化、艺术和审美精神的视角对新时期以来湖北作家的创作进行批评性阐释,从批判思想和理性精神的匮乏、独立品格和创新意识的迷失、艺术追求和审美意蕴的低标等方面,揭示湖北作家在文化水准、审美追求和艺术表现方面存在的失缺及误区,期望为未来湖北文学发展提供思考.

A Research into the Literary Creations of Hubei Writers During the New Period

Since 1978, great achievements have been made in Hubei's literature, which is obvious but not without fault. In this article emphasis is put on the critical interpretation of literary creations of Hubei writers during this period, and on revealing these writers' defects in cultural standard, aesthetic pursuit and art representation from the perspective of culture, art and aesthetic spirit.The defects lie in three aspects:the lack of critical awareness and rationality; the loss of independence and creative consciousness; the low standard of aesthetic significance. It is hoped that the research will provide food for thought on the development of Hubei literature.
