略论吸收新党员的主要标准——学习江泽民同志“七一”重要讲话体会

现代政党理论指出 :判断一个政党的性质不是根据党员的成份 ,而是根据党纲和指导思想。中国共产党历史上曾吸收农民和剥削阶级出身的知识分子入党。由于坚持思想上入党 ,保证了党的无产阶级性质。在新的历史时期 ,对民营科技企业的创业人员等七种人也可发展入党 ,其原因在于“能否自觉地为实现党的路线纲领而奋斗 ,是否符合党员条件 ,是吸收新党员的主要标准”。

On Major Criteria for Admitting New Party Members

The theory of modern political parties states that a party's nature is judged not by the class statuses of its members, but by the principle and guiding ideology of the party. In history, the Communist Party of China admitted peasants and the intellectuals from the exploiting classes into the organization. Because the Party upheld that membership was for those who bore the correct ideology, this move ensured the proletariat nature of CPC. In the new historical period, the co-authors hold that seven kinds of people in the realm of private-owned enterprises may also be admitted into the Party. According to the Constitution of CPC, The major criteria for admitting new members is to judge the applicants whether they will consciously struggle to bring about the Party's political line and principle and whether they conform to the requirements set for Party members.
