弘一大师与书法

摘    要:本文认为弘一大师的书法特色是至清至淡至简至静,由绚烂归于淡泊,然而具有丰富的文化内涵,含有儒家的清正清醇,道家的清简清拔,佛家的清淡清静。弘一以书法为工具,为媒介,充分发挥了其在弘扬佛法、广结善缘、修习劳作以及修心养性方面的作用。弘一关于书法学习的主张是:习书者要有器识和道德,要先习篆,要重章法,要多学、多练、多看。

Abstract:Master Hongyi' s calligraphic art is characterized by a most delicate, light, simple and tranquil style. Evolving from the earlier gorgeousness to the later simplicity, his calligraphy is filled with cultural intensions, involving the essence of tranquility and simplicity embedded in Confucianism, Taoism and Bud- dhism. Hongyi has made the best of his calligraphic art in preaching Buddhism, making friends, participating in physical work, and cultivating himself. As to his opinions on calligraphic training, he suggests that learners be broad-minded, insightful and virtuous; that they start with seal characters, a calligraphic art in ancient China ; and that they adopt a step-by-step process of training, basing their progress on diligent and painstaking efforts in learning, drilling and observing.
