Barrier and countermeasures for implementation of independent director system in China

With Chinese Stock Supervisor Community's issuing Advising Ideas for Establishment of Independent Directors System of Listed Companies and Management Principles for Listed Companies, independent director system, as an important system for consummation of management structure for listed companies, has become the topic in academic field and enterprises. The barriers such as recognition, human resources and information may appear in the establishment of independent director system in China. Thus, we must correctly understand the role of independent directors, correctly deal with the relation between independent directors and board of supervisors and define their responsibility and division of work.
