跨文化交际在大学英语教学中的应用

语言的学习不是单词和语法简单的堆砌,随着国际交流的程度越来越深,英语作为世界上最广泛使用的交际语言,英语的应用也越来越普遍。英语教学的侧重点也开始了从语言能力到语言运用培养的转变。语言首要的功能是信息功能,即语言是交流的工具。另一方面,语言又是文化的载体。而在大学英语教学中,英语教师往往在注重学生对前者能力的培养的同时,忽略了后者的存在,从而影响了学生对英语语言的全面掌握。本文针对这个普遍存在的现象,表达了笔者对跨文化交际在大学英语教学中的应用的一些意见,并提出了一些切实可行的方法。

The Application of Interculture Communication to College English Teaching

Language learning is not a simple heap of words and grammar.As the degree of international com- munication is deepening,the application of English become more and more widespread.The emphasis of English teaching shifts from language competence to performance.The principal function of language is informative func- tion,which means language is the tool of communication.It is,on the other hand,the carrier of cul- ture.However,in college English teaching,the fact that teachers always lay stress on fostering the former ability of students,while ignore the latter,badly influence the students' overall grasp of English.Pointing at this com- mon phenomenon,the essay expresses author's some ideas on the application of intercultural communication to college English teaching and provides some feasible methods.
