| 摘 要： | 语言学家对英语双关 (pun)的长期研究认为,pun只存在于词语 (word)或词组(phrase)这一级别。通过与汉语中双关语的对比分析,借鉴汉语双关修辞手法应用范围的最新突破研究,认为pun(英语双关或一语多关 )也应是一种修辞格,其体现不局限于同音 (近音 )异义或同词多义这些手段,其他修辞格如暗喻、反语、象征也可被使用。根据研究提出把英语中pun的应用范围从语素、词、词组延伸到了句子、句群、语段以及语篇。

| Abstract: | Great progress has been made in the study of equivoque, a Chinese figure of speech recently. Chinese linguists not only refine the definition of equivoque but also expand the range of it from word, phrase and sentence levels to morpheme, word, phrase, sentence, sentence group, paragraph and discourse levels. Based on those progressive views and current English puns study, a research is undertaken into the definition and range of English puns, and some new views are proposed, and the range of pun should be expanded to morpheme, word, phrase, sentence, sentence group, paragraph and discourse levels. |
