On the Western Theories of Literary Criticism in the 20th Century

In the twentieth century,various theories of literary criticism appeared, and they exerted such influence on the theoretical workers, writers and even college students that they used these theories in their work or studies. Therefore it is necessary to give a general exposition of these theories, so that we could have a better understanding of them, know what their achievements and their limitations are, and make them serve our cause by discarding the dross and assimilating the essence.
