The Full Development of Chinese Narrative Poems:From Xian Qing to Tang Dynasty

No classical epic in the strict sense has ever appeared in Chinese history of poetry. From "The book of Songs" to the official conservatory in Han Dynasty for collecting and composing folk songs and ballads, to the poems in late Tang Dynasty, Chinese ancient narrative poems developed remarkably. The narrative poems in Tang dynasty is the symbole of the full development of Chinese narrative poems.
