Essence and original contributions of Xi Jinping Thought on enhancing China's strength in cyberspace

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the CPC Central Committee, based on the historical position of worldwide changes of a scale unseen in a century and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, has proposed a series of new ideas, new views and new conclusions, by deeply grasping the new characteristics and new rules in promoting global Internet development and improving governance. Xi Jinping Thought on enhancing China''s strength in cyberspace sticks to combine the basic principles of Marxism with China''s specific conditions, the formation of this ideology is based on the following background:the transformation of productivity and production relations brought by information technology, the reshaping of the competitive pattern of global powers, as well as the opportunities and challenges faced by the development of the Internet in China. It defines the basic connotation and core meaning of five aspects, covering the status of cyberspace security and informatization in the development of the Party and the state, the strategic goals, principles, international propositions, and working methods.
