| 摘 要： | 两宋时期,潮州地区的佛教文化十分发达,寺院众多,信众数量庞大且遍布各阶层,佛教在当时发挥了重大的社会作用,在前辈学者研究的基础上,利用传世文献资料和金石碑刻材料,从宗教社会学与文化人类学的角度,对此问题进行初步的探讨。

| Abstract: | In the period of Northern and Southern Song Dynasties, with a large number of Buddhism monasteries and followers from different strata, Buddhism culture was flourishing in Chaoshan area. Consequently, Buddhism played a significant role in the then society. From the angles of religious sociology and cultural anthropology, this article, based on the researches of former scholars, discusses briefly Buddhism's social functions with the help of the data from cultural heritage and stone carving materials. |
