论和谐社会思想

和谐社会思想的提出具有重大的理论价值,是对社会发展规律认识的深化,是对基本历史经验的深刻总结,也是对中国社会发展的战略谋划。和谐社会思想是在我国经济社会的发展、巩固党执政的社会基础、实现党执政的历史任务的新情况下提出的,具有很强的现实意义。实现和谐社会思想必须具备一定的基本条件,包括:确立"以人为本"的理念,以人的全面发展为最高追求;始终坚持以经济建设为中心,不断解放和发展生产力;积极稳妥地推进政治体制改革,健全社会主义民主与法制;大力发展社会主义文化,建设社会主义精神文明;以改革的精神加强和改进党的自身建设。

On the Concept of "Harmonious Society"

Based on a deep understanding of the law of social development and a sound summary of historical experience in the past, the concept of a harmonious society, which is of great importance in theory, is launched to prepare for a strategic design for China's social development. In a new era when the nation is advancing with its economy quickly growing and the ruling Communist Party in great efforts to consolidate its social base in order to carry out its historical task, the concept is of far-reaching realistic significance. To build a harmonious society, several requirements are to be met. They are the establishment of a people-centered society with its ultimate purpose to cultivate its people comprehensively, the centering on the economic development all the time, the constant liberation and development of the productive forces, the positive and safe promotion of political system reforms, the enhancing of the socialist democracy and legal system, the vigorous development of socialist culture, the building of socialist moral standards and the strengthening and improvement of the Communist Party itself in the spirit of reform.
