| 摘 要： | 《继承与叛逆:现代科学为何出现于西方》一书以"研究现代科学为何出现在西方"的方式,消解了李约瑟有关"为什么中国没有发展出现代科学"的疑问。然而对于"李约瑟问题"的另一组成部分,即"为什么在公元前1世纪到公元15世纪期间,中国文明在获取自然知识并将其应用于人的实际需要方面要比西方文明有成效得多(而后来却不是这样)",却并未因此而一同消解。这一部分的疑问更多地涉及数理科学之外的技术,并且是一个能够证伪的真问题。

| Abstract: | The question "why Chinese failed to develop modern science",which was asked by Joseph Needham has been solved by Chen Fang-zheng,the author of the book "Heritage and Betrayal: A Treatise on the Emergence of Modern Science in Western Civilization",through researching another question "why modern science emerged in western civilization".But,as to the other part of the Needham Question,"why natural knowledge had been found and adopted more efficiently in Chinese civilization than in western civilization from 100 BC to 1500 AD(while after that it is no longer the case) " has not been solved at the same time.That part of the question especially relates to the technology outside mathematical science,and could be a real question. |
