For English learners,listening is one of the most important ways to obtain information.It plays a vital role in using language for English learners.However,it is also a weak section in current English language training.Concerning this phenomenon,this article will apply schemata theory to explore how to improve the teaching of listening comprehension from the perspectives of the schemata theory,the ways of processing information and the functions of schemata theory in listening training.
