| Abstract: | In this paper is argued the necessity of establishing the conecpt of ancient Chinese characters capable of replacing each other in combination with a discussion on the variant forms of Chinese characters found from inscrip-tions on bamboo or silk slips, with textual researches into some concrete problems in ancient Chinese characters still in use nowadays. |
