两淮盐政普福案审始末

“两淮预提盐引案”系乾隆朝三大案之一。案发后，乾隆帝密令江苏巡抚彰宝速往扬州会同两淮盐政尤拔世审理此案。彰宝抵扬后对两淮运司账户进行盘查，查出普福涉嫌赃款额达银八万余两。乾隆帝闻讯震惊之余，下令将普福革职并将其任所资财查封。不久，乾隆帝又传谕军机大臣刘统勋等在京提审普福。为彻查案情，乾隆帝还敕令严讯卢见曾、赵之璧等盐官，并向商人施压。经过数月审查，普福终以侵蚀公帑数额巨大被抄家问斩。

The Beginning and End of The Case of Pufu Who Was The Chief of Commissioner of Lianghuai

Lianghuai Tiyin Case is one of the three biggest cases in Qianlong period of the Qin Dynasty. After the occurrence of the case, Qianlong ordered grand coordinators Zhangbao to go to Yangzhou interrogated the case with Chief Executive Officer in Lianghuai Area at once. After Zhangbao arrived in Yangzhou, he interrogated the Lianghuai Yamen''s accounting, right away, and found that Pufu was a suspected 80000 taels of silver. Qianlong was shocked at the news, then he ordered to dismiss Pufu and seal up the assets in Pufu''s office. Soon afterwards Qianlong ordered grand councillor of state, Liu Tong-xun tried Pufu. In order to uncovered the case, Qianlong also ordered to severely interrogate the sault officer such as Lu Jian-zeng, Zhao Zhi-bi and so on. Meanwhile the emperor oppressed Lianghuai merchants. After several months'' try, Pufu was sentenced to death in the end for huge erosion of public funds.
