| Abstract: | "Goddess" and "Starry sky" are two new poetry anthologies in Guo Moruo's earliest period of literature creation.They display different esthetic characteristics in many aspects.In the use of image,"Goddess" takes the light,the sun and the sea as the main images while"Starry sky" takes night,the white clouds and the star month;In style,"Goddess" vigorously displays the bold,vigorous beauty,whereas "Starry sky" displays the dilute,composed and gentle beautiful style;In theme,"Goddess" expresses the spirit of his age,i.e,creation and destruction;"Starry sky "then expresses the internal emotions of being sentimental,resistant and yearnings.The esthetic characteristics of the two poetry anthologies are utterly different,but both are an esthetical treat to us. |
