大学生英语学习相关因素调查研究

本课题组以478名非英语专业大学生为受试对象,调查和分析了影响其英语学习的相关因素。本项研究结果表明,英语基础制约着英语成绩的提高;学习动机影响着学习观念和学习策略,但学习动机未能在学习策略及英语学习的实践过程中得以充分体现和实施;大学生的学习策略亟待改进和完善。

Study on the relevant factors conditioning undergraduates' English learning

This paper reports on a quantitative study of the relevant factors that condition the undergraduates' English learning.To establish the variables,a questionnaire covering the subjects' background,learning motives and strategies was administered to 478 students in the first-year and second-year of a non-English majors degree course in Tianjin University of Science & Technology.Through a detailed investigation and analysis,this paper demonstrates the relationship between the beginning level of English basis and achievement,the relationship between learning motives,attitude and strategies,and the incomplete fulfilment of learning motives in English learning.The findings also prove the undergraduates' learning strategies should be desperately improved.
