| Abstract: | After a careful examination of the images found in Gucheng’s poems, this paper points out that the supreme state in Gucheng’s ideal realm is nothing but a return to nature and a female nation. The pursuit of idealism and its illusion, and the unique ominous experience of death have conspired to drive Gucheng, who was wandering, helpless and longing for home, on the way home. |
