It pointed out that in order to uphold and strengthen MarXism＇s leading position in ideological sphere, we should hold＂ three principles＂. Namely, we should keep with the Four Basic Principles funda- mentally, we should stick to the reforming and opening policy all the time, we should properly deal with the relation between material progress and spiritual civilization, we should make greater efforts to enhance theoretical study and propaganda works of Marxism, we should strengthen the Ideological and Political Education and Methodology, cultivate the ＂ four-haves＂ new people, we should keep on reforms on political and cultural system, develop socialist democracy and law, we should enhance and improve the leadership of our party for ideology, we should constitute a promising collective leadership of the Party Central Committee to attain the people＇ s trust.
