拉丁美洲文明的形成和拉丁美洲的现代化进程之间是一个相辅相成的关系。当不同文明的融合进程比较顺利的时候,也是拉丁美洲现代化进程较为顺利的时候,表现为社会和谐、经济发展和政治稳定。反之,当文明的融合不顺利和困难的时候,也是其现代化进程发生困难的时期,表现为社会冲突、经济停滞和政治局势的动荡。
