| 摘 要： | 节庆日以及节庆民俗词汇承载着丰富的民族文化内涵,中国的节庆盛典有着鲜明的民族特色,这往往是异族文化所缺失的。《红楼梦》的两个英文全译本——杨宪益、霍克斯译本,对大量的节庆日以及节庆民俗词汇进行了各自认知的翻译。本文通过比较分析认为:翻译是跨文化传播的桥梁,在翻译的过程中,译者的翻译目的和原则以及对源语文化的认知,都会影响其对翻译策略和翻译手法的选择。如果要将那些有着独特民族文化内涵的民俗词汇完美地传译成另一种语言,而不出现文化流失现象,是乎近不可能的;所以,译者就是要在不可能中寻求可能,在不完美中寻求完美,以搭建文化传播的桥梁。 |

| Abstract: | The festivities and the festival - related folk custom terms,with a label of unique national feature, are a vehicle carrying rich connotations of national culture which do not exist in foreign cultures.
