大学英语教学中文化背景知识的导入

语言是文化的载体,是文化的一个重要组成部分;文化的传播离不开语言。两者之间相互影响,相互依存。我国的大学英语教学长期以来只注重语言本身,而忽视文化教学,造成学生跨文化交际能力低下。在国际化趋势日益明显的今天,大学英语教学应以交际需要为目的,以文化导入为手段,培养学生对中西方文化差异的敏感性,从而提高他们用英语交流信息的能力。

Introduction of Cultural Background in College English Teaching

Language is the carrier of culture and an essential part of the latter, the spread of which is impossible without the former. Language and culture are interdependent and interactive. College English Teaching in our country has long been paying attention only to the language itself but ignoring the introduction of foreign cultures. As a result, this has led to the students' incompetence in cross-cultural communication. Nowadays, in the context of a stronger tendency of globalization, College English Teaching should, aiming at the need to communicate and relying on cultural introduction , foster the students' sensitivity to cultural differences between China and western countries, so as to improve their abilities to communicate in English.
