| Abstract: | Based on the researches in cognitive science,linguistics and psychology, this paper illustrates the important role of affective factors in foreign language teaching and learning, categorizes the typical language anxieties in college English teaching and analyses their causes. It also proposes some feasible measures that teachers can take to control students'language anxiety. |
