To Aim at the Future with Deep Thinking and to Create by Returning to the Origin——The construction of the front tablet calligraphy theory in the Qing Dynasty

The present paper makes clear the ideological root-cause of the scholars and the academic background of the time when the theories of the front tablet calligraphy in the Qing Dynasty emerged,and reveals the construction process of the theories from Gu Yanwu,the founder of the school,to many other scholars who extracted aesthetic concepts and sorted out the calligraphy history again.It shows his academic aspiration to aim at the future by deep thinking and to create by returning to the origin.Besides,it demonstrates his abundant knowledge on calligraphy and his calm and clear academic temperament.Therefore,it is of deep significance for the current calligraphy study by carrying out this humanistic and academic feature.
