| Abstract: | There exist many different errors in Chinese English translation of placards. These errors not only affect the quality of their translation but also give rise to numerous unexpected problems in communication. The paper attempts to analyze their causes, ways of how to correct them based on some selected typical wrong examples, and also emphasizes the importance of Chinese English placards in allusion to ordinary foreigners in the publicity work. |
