Ottoman Imperial Wars and the Formative Years of European Modern Nation-State System

The formation of European modern nation-state system is a gradual and prolonged process.Although the process had a direct connection with the characteristics of European nations,economic development and historical culture,the rising Ottoman Empire and the imperial wars posed a great and impressed threat to the emerging European nation-states.Ottoman Empire had great and direct effects on the European history of international relations.Accordingly,as a very important European external factor,it is very essential and meaningful to make a historical survey of Ottoman role in the formation of European nation-state system.
