| 摘 要： | 医学英语属科技英语 (EnglishforScienceandTechnology)的一个分支 ,是一种特殊的文体 ,它具有其自身的特点和相应的翻译标准。在翻译实践中 ,宜将翻译的一般标准与医学英语的具体特点相结合以采取相应的措施。本文论述了医学英语的特点和翻译标准 ,以及在从事医学英语汉译中在词义选择方面所采取的五种主要措施 :具体化或概括化处理词汇、选用专业术语和前后搭配的汉语词、换用另种表达法

| Abstract: | Medical English is a branch of English for Science and Technology, which has its special style, characteristics and corresponding translation criteria. In combination with the characteristics of medical English ,this paper discusses the criteria for medical English translation and examines the five useful steps in translation practice: choice of concrete or general wo rds, use of technical terms, collocation, and alternative expressions. |
